CNC Plasma Machine Operator

CNC Plasma Machine Operator:

Pay rate: $19+ per hour

PythonX Machine Operator CNC/ plasma cutting structural steel components per blueprint, traveler, cutlist, verbal order or hand drawing. The operator will perform material handling, loading and unloading the machine, as well as keeping equipment clean and basic maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Work from blueprints, shop orders, written procedures and verbal instructions from a supervisor.
• Ensure material brought onto the line is positioned and correct.
• Ensure that the program from the front office runs as entered.
• Remove finished pieces as well as scrap.
• Mark job numbers and piece marks on finished material.
• Initial and date cutlists or drawings as pieces are finished.
• Verify part counts against nestings/parts lists.

Requirements:

• Must have experience with setup and operation of CNC machines (PythonX or burntables) and plasma cutting experience.
• PC experience with Windows and 3D machine operators experience preferred.
• Able to follow verbal orders from a supervisor and work well with limited supervision.
• Ability to properly use hand tools and read a tape measure.
• Must have good work habits (Be on time, do not miss work, take pride in work, etc.)
• Job requires standing.
• High mental and visual effort required; some heavy lifting required.
