Maintenance Technician I - $22.35/HR - Day Shift

A local manufacturing company in Conroe area is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to join their team. This is a temp-to-hire position with day shift hours, Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays as required. Must be flexible to work nights when needed based on deadlines and workload. Responsibilities:

• Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines
• Perform regular preventative maintenance based on PM schedule
• Troubleshoot malfunctions by following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications
• Locate sources of problems by observing and listening to mechanical devices in operation
• Complete pre-operation equipment inspections and report any issues identified
• Set up, adjust, and operate all basic machine tools
• Prepare maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
• Assist with the installation of new production equipment and required infrastructure
• Read and interpret work instructions, then execute work per instructions
• Other duties as assigned

Skills & Experience:

• 1+ year of proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (required)
• Electrical and mechanical knowledge (strongly preferred)
• Attention to detail required
• Ability to read and write English
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals
