HR Assistant/HR Generalist
Temporary HR Assistant / HR Generalist

Job Status: Full-Time | Non-Exempt
Reports To: HR Business Partner
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.
Pay Rate: $25–$30 per hour
Position Summary
Client of Express Employment Professionals is currently hiring for an HR Assistant / HR Generalist to support core HR operations during a high-impact period. This role will assist with compliance tracking, employee communications, administrative support, and travel coordination. The ideal candidate is organized, resourceful, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where clarity, accuracy, and employee experience matter.
Essential Functions
(All listed duties are considered essential functions under the ADA, except those beginning with "may.")
- HR Operations & Compliance: Maintain accurate employee records, track uniform and PPE compliance, and support documentation for audits and policy acknowledgments
- Travel & Hotel Coordination: Arrange hotel bookings and travel for employees and guests, track itineraries, and ensure alignment with travel policies
- Employee Communications: Draft and distribute internal HR communications, support wellness and giving initiatives, and assist with employee recognition efforts
- Administrative Support: Assist with data entry, reporting, and file management; support HR projects such as handbook updates and policy rollouts
- Vendor Liaison: Coordinate with vendors for HR-related supplies, travel arrangements, and service needs
- Confidentiality & Integrity: Handle sensitive employee information with discretion and professionalism

Position Requirements
- 1–3 years of HR experience preferred, open to strong administrative candidates with HR interest
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to changing priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting manufacturing or technical teams
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Finnish)
- Familiarity with global HR practices or multi-site coordination
- Experience with travel booking platforms or vendor management
Physical & Work Environment
Work is primarily performed in an office setting. Occasional travel may be required for local hotel or vendor coordination. Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods, lift up to 15 pounds, and use standard office equipment. Occasional overtime or schedule flexibility may be required during peak HR cycles or event support.
