Crate Builder/ Material Handler

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00Am to 5:00PM (Temp to Hire Full Time)  

Pay: $17.00/hr-$18.00/hr

Summary: 

We are seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes, as well as the ability to read a tape measure accurately. Basic math skills are required to determine the appropriate sizes for crates, and experience with hand tools such as drills, nail guns, and staplers is essential.

In this role, you will be expected to stand for extended periods (80% of the time) and operate machinery such as panel saws for cutting plywood and chop saws for lumber. Additional responsibilities include strapping crates using a manual strapping machine, maintaining a clean work environment through daily housekeeping tasks, and assisting with loading and unloading shipments from common carriers (shipping and receiving).

Job Description: 

* Forklift & Overhead crane experience

* Must be able to read a tape measure

* Operating hand tools (drills, nail guns, staplers)

* Basic math skills to determine what size of crate needs to be built

* Will be standing for 80+ percent of time

* Operating a panel saw to cut/rip plywood

* Operating a chop saw (cutting 2 x 4’s and other lumber)

* Strapping the crate with a manual strapping machine

* Housekeeping performed on a daily basis

* Loading and unloading common carriers (shipping and receiving)
